This is a very unusual Maple Leaf Pin/Brooch. There are three layers of leaves, each one smaller than the one underneath it. The two bottom leaves appear to have been antiqued so as to have a faux patina on them. The top leaf seems to have no patina finish so that it becomes a small focal point on the entire design. The entire pin has been coated with a clear shiny finish. Most likely some type of polyurethane. It gives a nice look to the entire pin. The leaves have tiny dots of texture in between the veins, adding a nice contrast from the smooth areas. The back has been left unfinished and has a frosted look to it. A very nice design that isn't seen everyday.
